Dr. Tan Bingli was born in October 1945 in Tong'an, Xinlian, Chikan Town, Kaiping, into a well-off family. His parents named him "Bingli" at birth, symbolizing Pinli. Afterwards, his family fell into decline and moved to Hong Kong in the fourth grade of elementary school. At the age of 12, he had already worked as a laborer. At the age of 16, he entered a small machinery factory as an apprentice.
In 1967, Dr. Tan Bingli started his own business. After more than 20 years of indomitable struggle, I have finally achieved success in my career since the 1990s. During the arduous entrepreneurial process in Hong Kong, Dr. Tan Bingli is willing to participate in various public welfare activities and contribute to society. Finally, he chose to develop in Chikan Town, which is currently the location of Yaqi Industrial Park. The original plan was to move Yaqi Plastic Machinery Factory back to Kaiping for production through leasing, with an annual rent of 400000 yuan. But later, with strong support from governments at all levels, continuous promotion, and close cooperation from all parties, they decided to buy land and build factories. They invested over 200 million yuan to build an industrial park covering an area of 140000 square meters. Kaiping Yaqi Group Plastic Machinery Mold Factory was completed in 1999 and officially put into operation in 2000. From 2001 to 2003, mold factories, plastic hardware factories, and blow molding factories were gradually relocated back to the park. Currently, Yaqi Industrial Park integrates the research and development and manufacturing of blow molding machinery, bottle molds, precision injection molds, and blow molding products, providing about 1000 employment opportunities for Kaiping. For many years, they have been high-quality taxpayers in Kaiping City, contributing to the economic construction of their hometown.

The Hong Kong Kaiping Association was established on October 18, 1992, with Mr. Jay Chow serving as its first president. Afterwards, several other presidents took over. Dr. Tan Bingli was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2000 and served multiple terms. At the end of 2010, he was elected as the president and has been reelected ever since. The Hometown Association is an important bridge for communication between Hong Kong and Kaiping in terms of economy, culture, and even charitable and public welfare undertakings. Dr. Tan Bingli resigned from some club positions in Hong Kong after serving as the president of the local association, in order to free up more time to serve the local association. After taking office, he set about doing three beautiful things.

We should mobilize our members to participate in various charitable and public welfare undertakings in our hometown, such as supporting the construction of rural water projects, rural roads, civilized villages, donating schools, improving educational conditions, and awarding scholarships to students. This has been highly praised by the Kaiping Municipal Government and villagers. Of course, Dr. Tan Bingli is not limited to organizing and initiating, but it is important to take the lead in action. In June 2001, Dr. Tan Bingli donated funds to build the Deng Yifei Martyrs Cemetery in the Hulong Village Committee; In April 2006, Dr. Tan Bingli funded the second Kaiping "Yaqi Cup" volleyball tournament and invited the Chinese women's volleyball team to come to Kaiping to compete with the Kaiping men's volleyball team.
